A Fast ISAR Tomography Technique for Fully Polarimetric 3-D Imaging of Man-Made Targets

The 3-D inverse synthetic aperture radar (ISAR) tomography is an enabling technique for applications such as the exact diagnosis of scattering mechanisms complex targets. Nevertheless, current ISAR solutions still suffer from problems great computational complexity and optimal utilization signatures acquired limited baselines. In this work, we propose a fast fully polarimetric imaging man-made A stack 2-D complex-valued images with different baselines polarizations first obtained through phase error calibration (PEC) process graphic processing unit accelerated filtered backprojection. state-space decomposition (P-SSD) algorithm then developed which could provide joint reconstruction results low complexity. Examples both numerical multibaseline data Sandia laboratories implementation cylinders (SLICY) benchmark model outdoor range dataset collected by Georgia Tech Research Institute (GTRI) are presented to demonstrate superior performance usefulness proposed technique.
